Launching WhatsApp Broadcast Campaigns

WhatsApp broadcasts deliver up to 98% open rates and 45–60% click-through rates when executed with proper segmentation and personalized copy. This guide walks through creating, targeting, and measuring high-converting campaigns using the Galaxa Nova Merchant Dashboard.

The Campaign Workflow

1

Segment Your Target Audience

Filter customers dynamically from Shopify (e.g. VIP spenders, lapsed buyers) or upload an Excel/CSV file.
2

Select an Approved Meta Template

Pick from your synchronized Meta library (Marketing, Limited-Time Offers, or Utility).
3

Autonomous Variable Population

Nova automatically matches customer names, products, and dynamic links into your template’s {{1}}, {{2}} placeholders.
4

Review Spend-Cap Shield & Dispatch

Verify the wholesale cost estimate against your monthly budget cap before sending or scheduling.

1. Audience Segmentation Options

In the Nova Dashboard under Broadcasts -> New Campaign, select your audience targeting method:

A. Dynamic Commerce Segments

Pull real-time customer cohorts directly from your Shopify store without manual exports:
  • High-Value VIPs: Shoppers with lifetime spend > ₹5,000 and 2+ completed orders.
  • Lapsed Buyers: Shoppers who haven’t ordered in the last 45–90 days.
  • Cart Abandoners: Customers who dropped off at checkout within the last 24 hours.
  • COD Candidates: First-time Cash-on-Delivery shoppers requiring confirmation.

B. Custom CSV / Excel Upload

Upload a spreadsheet with customer phone numbers:
  • Automatic Phone Standardization: Nova converts numbers (e.g. 9876543210, 098765 43210) into standardized international E.164 format (+919876543210).
  • Deduplication: Duplicate phone numbers are merged automatically.
  • WhatsApp Validation: Numbers that do not have active WhatsApp accounts are automatically isolated from your delivery base.

2. How Template Placeholders Work

Meta WhatsApp templates use standard numbered placeholders like {{1}} and {{2}}:
When you click Send Broadcast, Galaxa Nova’s autonomous engine populates these parameters dynamically:
  • {{1}} is filled with the customer’s first name from their Shopify profile.
  • {{2}} is filled with the relevant order number, product name, or tracking link.
You do not need to write code or configure manual formula mappings. Nova handles data matching automatically at dispatch.

3. Real-Time Campaign Telemetry

Once dispatched, the dashboard tracks the campaign across 4 distinct stages: Effective Base⟶Sent⟶Delivered⟶Read⟶Engaged (Clicks/Replies)\text{Effective Base} \longrightarrow \text{Sent} \longrightarrow \text{Delivered} \longrightarrow \text{Read} \longrightarrow \text{Engaged (Clicks/Replies)} If any message fails due to Meta’s frequency limit (131049), Nova’s Smart Retry engine automatically enqueues it for delivery over the next 12–24 hours.
